First school day

Here comes September... and here we go, full of energy.

Happy school year everybody!!

"ABC"
You went to school to learn girl
Things you never, never knew before
Like "I" before "E" except after "C"
And why 2 plus 2 makes 4
Now, now, now
I'm gonna teach you
(Teach you, teach you)
All about love girl
(All about love)
Sit yourself down, take a seat
All you gotta do is repeat after me

A B C
It's easy as, 1 2 3
As simple as, do re mi
A B C, 1 2 3
Baby, you and me girl
A B C
It's easy as, 1 2 3
As simple as, do re mi
A B C, 1 2 3
Baby, you and me girl

Come on and love me just a little bit
Come on and love me just a little bit
I'm gonna teach you how to sing it out
Come on, come on, come on
Let me show you what it's all about
Reading, writing, arithmetic
Are the branches of the learning tree
But listen without the roots of love everyday girl
Your education ain't complete
Tea-Tea-Teacher's gonna show you
(She's gonna show you)
How to get an "A" (na-na-na-naaaaaa)
How to spell "me", "you", add the two
Listen to me, baby
That's all you got to do

Oh, A B C
It's easy as, 1 2 3
As simple as, do re mi
A B C, 1 2 3
Baby, you and me girl
A B C it's easy,
It's like counting up to 3
Sing a simple melody
That's how easy love can be
That's how easy love can be
Sing a simple melody
1 2 3
You and me

Sit down girl,
I think I love ya'
No, get up girl
Show me what you can do
Shake it, shake it baby, come on now
Shake it, shake it baby, oooh, oooh
Shake it, shake it baby, yeah
1 2 3 baby, oooh oooh
A B C baby, ah, ah
Do re mi baby, wow
That's how easy love can be
A B C it's easy
It's like counting up to 3
Sing a simple melody
That's how easy love can be
I'm gonna teach you
How to sing it out
Come-a, come-a, come-a
Let me show you what's it's all about
A B C it's easy
It's like counting up to 3
Sing a simple melody
That's how easy love can be

I'm gonna teach you
How to sing it out
Sing it out, sing it out
Sing it, sing it
A B C it's easy
It's like counting up to 3
Sing a simple melody
That's how easy love can be

The Transportation Song/ La canción de los transportes

TRANSPORTATION SONG

                            You can drive a car,
        You can drive a truck,
You can ride on a train or in a bus.
How do you get from “A” to “B”

Over land , through the air or on the sea.
                     You can ride a scooter,
                     You can ride a bike,
You can ride a unicycle if you like.
How do you get from “A” to “B”
Over land , through the air or on the sea.

                     You  can sail a yacht
                     If the wind is right

                     Or inside a submarine

                     If it´s watertight.

                    You can fly a plane
      Way up in the sky
      Or a helicopter
      If you want to try
How do you get from “A” to “B”
Over land , through the air or on the sea.

                     You can catch a taxi
       If you have the fair
       Or you can walk
       From here to there
How do you get from “A” to “B”
Over land , through the air or on the sea

You can fly a rocket ship
If you have been taught
But first you have to train to be an astronaut.
How do you get from “A” to “B”
Over land , through the air or on the sea.
How do you get from “A” to “B”
Over land , through the air or on the sea.

There are four seasons that happen in a year
spring, summer, autumn, winter

Let's take a look
SPRING
Can you tell me what season it is?
Let's take a look
SUMMER
Can you tell me what season it is?
Let's take a look
AUTUMN
Can you tell me what season it is?
Let's take a look
WINTER
There are four seasons that happen in a year
spring, summer, autumn, winter

It's raining, it's pouring (Weather song with lyrics)/ Está lloviendo, está diluviando (Canción del tiempo con letra)

It's raining, it's pouring

The old man is snoring

He went to bed

And he bumped his head

And he couldn't get up in the morning.

Rain, rain, go away

Come again some other day

Rain, rain, go away

Come again some other day.

It's raining, it's pouring

The old man is snoring

He went to bed

And he bumped his head

And he couldn't get up in the morning.

Rain, rain, go away

Come again some other day

Rain, rain, go away

Come again some other day.

It's raining, it's pouring

The old man is snoring

He went to bed

And he bumped his head

And he couldn't get up in the morning

How many...? Counting countables/¿Cuántos...? Contando contables.

Si, puede parecer una redundancia... pero ya sabéis que en inglés hay sustantivos contables (un dedo, dos dedos, tres dedos...) y sustantivos que no los son (los 'incontables') Aquí tenemos un par de vídeos para iniciar a los niños en este concepto./Yes, it could seem redundant... but you already know that, in English, there are countable nouns (one finger, two fingers, three fingers...) and nouns that are not (the 'uncountable' ones) Here we have a couple of videos to start children into this concept:

I still haven't found what I'm looking for

Yes, I know...
Only grammar and exercises... And, where on hell is fun in this blog, Ati?
I have been looking for some songs with the 'Present Perfect' and I've found a great example by U2, my favourite rock band: 'I still haven't found what I'm looking for' from the album 'The Joshua Tree' (1987)
A bit old, I know, but... who cares? THIS IS ROCK'N ROLL, GUYS!!!

I have climbed the  highest mountain
I have run through the fields
Only to be with you
Only to be with you
I have run
I have crawled
I have scaled these city walls
These city walls
Only to be with you
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
I have kissed honey lips
Felt the healing in her fingertips
It burned like fire
This burning desire
I have spoke with the tongue of angels
I have held the hand of a devil
It was warm in the night
I was cold as a stone
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
I believe in the kingdom come
Then all the colors will bleed into one
Bleed into one
Well yes I'm still running
You broke the bonds and you
Loosed the chains
Carried the cross
Of my shame
Of my shame
You know I believed it
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for...
